cooking pots

I have no idea what got into my head when I went ahead and started Pots and Pans Place. I was looking to buy a frying pan and I was like into my third pan after two and a half years. These are supposed to be durable items and considering that you can hit someone’s head with it without making a dent, how can they last for barely a year, right? That was when I decided to search for more information on the best cookware and somehow, this site came about.

During my search, I realized that it is not the price that will determine if a pot or pan is good to cook with. Instead, it boils down very much to your preferences. I have bought an expensive pot and a cheap one before and I still have them in my kitchen. I use the latter nearly everyday. The expensive one? It is stashed somewhere in my cabinet. Why? I found it too heavy to my liking although it is supposed to conduct and retain heat better with its multi-layer construction.

Granted that price could be a good indicator of the quality of the materials used to make the cookware. But it should not be the only factor to take into consideration. Maybe a more expensive cooking utensil is less likely to warp and could last a little longer. But you will still need to like cooking with it and washing it up since you will be using it almost daily to make your meals.

So, what this site intends to do is to find good pots and pans to fit different needs and preferences based on customer reviews and ratings. Apart from the usual good cookware brands, I will also explore the less popular and cheaper ones that have just as great reviews all round.

I hope you will enjoy your visit to Pots and Pans Place and find what you are looking for. If you could take a moment to drop a comment, I would appreciate it too.

Thank you!

Can you tell me if All Clad is the only line still made in the USA?

    • Audrey says:

No, there are a few others. USA Pan and Viking are another 2 brands that are made in the USA. However, the cost of these sets are much higher compared to those imported from elsewhere.
